I have found 99% of the hosting facilities out there just don't cut it, they allow anyone and everyone on their servers without any thought as to the consequences of these poorly coded applications and sites. Because of this I bought my own servers and run them myself. I allow a select amount of clients on each box and only after I look at the application (or site) to make sure it won't drain resources.
